Living in a digital world

I was watching the morning news this past week and saw a tidbit about a former hacker turned federal informant. The ultimate point of the bit was to get people to click on their shit online so you could learn how to keep yourself secure in a digital world.

Really? The answer to that one isn’t obvious to people?

Analog.

If you want to be secure in a digital world, go analog. Become a Luddite. Convert to Amish. Opt out. Don’t go digital.

I know, that’s easy for me to say; it’s harder for me to actually do.

Ultimately, though, it really is that simple.

final note: nobody ever said simple was easy. I mean, come on–we’re human, we can complicate the hell out of simple shit like respiration.
